Go through Safe Space

Check-in
Jo, Adrian, Richard, Larissa, Abi, Rebecca, Rudolf/Rudi, Seamus, Anna, Aria.

Approve the Agenda/ Add new business:

-Check in / safe space,

-Approve agenda,

-Elections: treasurer, political coordinator, outreach, anything else people want to nominate themselves for,

- AMS Insider Agenda

-Summer events planning,

-Posters and pamphlets for Pride,

-Website update

-Office maintenance,

-Suggestions for speakers and events for next year,

-Check out.

AMS Insider Agenda
Pride UBC offers educational and social services regarding sexuality and gender identity to the UBC community. Pride UBC provides support and information to those who self-identify within the multitude of gender and sexuality identities and non-identities. Pride UBC assists those coming out, supplies a forum for discussion, has an office in the SUB, holds social events (including the Outweek celebration), and educates the wider UBC campus about the variation in gender and human sexuality. Members come from diverse backgrounds and everyone is welcome regardless of sexual or gender identity.

Summer Events:
Outings, perhaps going to East Van.
Send an email / doodle to check people’s availability
Late afternoons work better (says Aria)
Cool to have snak meetings (bi-weekly picnic potluck style to be outdoors)
Queer Story Time (perhaps combined at picnic outings)
Conclusion: A consistent weekly event (with consistent venue), and a floating biweekly event

Pride Float
should have weekly meetings to organize (good idea to tack weekly meeting at end of snack times)

Posters and pamphlets for pride
Goal: to be ready by September
Forward information to Ted and Ema
Also Poster of Safe Space Rules for the office

Website Update
Renew website subscription, since it hasn’t been done (140 dollars)
Abi will renew it.
Google Calendar to be added to website. Testing underway.

Booking Reps
Rebecca and Larissa will most likely be this year’s booking reps

Office Maintenance
Monday / Wednesday on the week after next....
