  1. Swing Dance

    • Angie Weddell: Swing Kids were approached by Pride about a queer swing dance workshop. Swings Kids currently don’t have any room bookings, so Pride would have to provide a space.

    • More of a swing dance social than a workshop.

    • Friday, March 18 in the evening

    • SUB Party Room would be preferable

  2. Queeries: Open house and panel

    • Budget: overspent on some things, but we do have some room to work with.

    • If we focus on the swing event, the open house might be more difficult to organize.

    • Need to book a room – preferably 212A or another room of similar size.

    • Friday, March 25 at 3:30pm to 5:30pm

    • Need a panel of 5-7 exec members

    • First part: panel of exec members will start out with terminology and answering anonymously submitted questions

    • Second part: more informal smaller discussions. Topics generated from the first part will break off into smaller groups for an open space. Participants should feel free to wander in between groups to listen and participate.

    • To do: room bookings, recruit panel members, recruit speaker, compile equipment list.

  3. Beer garden

    • Aria is in charge of posters, volunteer sheet and DJing

    • Friday, March 11 from 8:00pm to 12 midnight

    • Queer toga party

    • Alcohol: should reduce the amount purchased this time around

    • In SUB 214/216 this time

    • To do: need to book a locker in the RGAC commons for next year.

  4. Storm the Wall

    • Probably have enough people at this point, but a second co-ed team is in the works.

  5. Outweek

    • The Bash was less expensive last year, but attendance was in the same numbers.

    • Moving Outweek to a less busy exam time would be difficult because SUB room bookings would be unavailable.

    • Important to advertise heavily.

    • Many people are also leaving early on the Friday (night of the Bash) for reading break.

    • Wine and cheese was very successful, even though it was in the middle of the week. Must also take into account that the people attending the academic panel were quite different from those who might attend a beer garden.

  6. AGM scheduling

    • Email will be sent out to schedule the AGM. Attendance is mandatory. If you are unable to attend, please vote by proxy.

    • We are also collecting nominations for incoming exec positions.
