At today's on the QT, in which we discussed queer movies, I was keeping a list of movies for me to see. I decided I might as well add the movies that I have seen, and compile a list of good movies for you all to check out. I tried to group the movies according to the primary relationship(s) in the movie, but all I had to go on was the brief IMDB plot outline so I may be wrong on some of them.

I have also added links to the IMDB pages for all the movies here, and have marked the movies I have seen and can reccomend.

Also, "In & Out", a Hollywood film with Kevin Kline, I thought it was very funny.

Lilies is one of the best movies ever. Very gay and also involves drag but not exactly in a standard way.

Kinky Boots was yet another lame "gay" movie made for straight audiences.

I would like to add John Cameron Mitchell's brilliant new movie "Shortbus", featuring Vancouver's own Sook-Yin-Lee. There's something in this film for everybody ^_^

A gay-themed film I really, really want to see is Eternal Summer. It's a Taiwanese movie that was released just a few weeks ago. I don't think I've ever longed to watch a movie--gay or straight-themed--the way I am aching to see this one.

You can view the movie's trailer here (it's really good... especially the quick flash of mansex between the two hot leads) or check out its official blog. Alternatively, you can read a couple of reviews of Eternal Summer here and here. It's got a good soundtrack, too, which I am listening to ad nauseam to help tide me over until I am hopefully/eventually able to watch the movie (instead of watching the trailer over and over again).

Just saw this, and I agree! I liked Jacqueline Bisset's character in it.

Anoher gay-theme movie to add to the list: Formula 17. It's great. Great, I tell you!

Jacqueline Bisset was amazing in the movie, for sure. She was a recurring character this past season on Nip/Tuck and was equally awesome (though far, far more disturbing/evil).

You've got some great lists there. I just cannot believe no one has mentioned SHELTER yet, which I think is one of the best movies ever.
