So... I realize that I have jumped the gun on things a little bit here, everyone.

Thus, I am amending that now by saying that, YES, our website will from now on be as updated as busy schedules allow! The Pride homepage will essentially be a running blog with content along the lines of... well pretty much anything queer-related that we think you might find interesting and useful, such as: 

• Summarized minutes from weekly general collective meetings
• Biir Garden news
• Outweek(s) news 
• Special events and mixers
• Interesting discussions, comments, and questions
• Viral videos
• Funny comics
• Relevant media articles
• ... and anything else that is requested of me to post for your perusal :)

Also, this is not the only modality guys! For those of you that are social-network savvy, you can find us on facebook (Pride UBC), twitter (PrideUBC), and tumblr (prideubc.tumblr.com). Yes, I know... I was really original with the names, BUT that is besides the point! The point is that, no matter your social networking preference, we are accessible :).

So, to bring everyone up to speed (slowly but surely), a few committees are active right now and looking for anyone interested in CHANGING THE COURSE OF HISTORY!!! ... I mean... well, no actually that is essentially what they do. And to spare you from my blatherings, here's the summarized info: 

Queer Housing Committee:
Chair: Trevor Richie [high_paladin@hotmail.com] 

This A committee formed to investigate and pursue gender-inclusive housing options for UBC students. Currently petitioning to add a "queer-friendly" check-box to the housing questionnaire.

Constitutional Revision Committee:
Chair: Admin council [prideubc@gmail.com]

A committee formed to review and revise the Pride UBC constitution and bylaws such that they are clear and up to date.

On another note! Just for kicks I'm going to guess that you all have been bored to tears because there's been no Pride discussions or meetings on Thursdays... right? RIGHT? Well, if this is the case (and if you search the depths of your soul you know that this is the case...), we have something AWESOME: 

Pride UBC Story Time
Pride UBC Story Time is a chance to relax on a Thursday evening and read and listen to queer related stories. All are welcome and Tea is provided.
Thursdays 6-7pm in the Pride Office (SUB 245C) --> Uhh... starting January 26th, methinks?
