Pride UBC offers tons of activites which will let you connect with people other than your roommate or your lab partner: discussion groups, social events, educational and community events, etc. (We’re renowned on campus for throwing the best bqqr gardens.)
Your first step should be to join one of our mailing lists, which come in two varieties: lots of messages, or not so many. After that, you can drop by one of our discussion groups or social events (check the website for details on when and where). If you have time and energy to volunteer, and a passion for helping out, you’re welcome to attend one of our admin meetings.
