Relax with friends, have a drink, and dance the night away! A great place to meet people new people on campus. Occurs on a Friday night.

The Network's Queer Grad Social

Held on the first Friday of September and April, meet up with your fellow Queer Grads at The Wolf & Hound (3617 W. Broadway near Alma)

Queeries: A Pride UBC Open House and Panel
Queeries is a fun and informal event where you get to ask questions, eat good food and have engaging conversations with others interested in learning more about the queer community! The goal of our panel is to provide a space for people of all experiences and orientations to share their stories, ask questions, and inform people about the queer community in a safe and comfortable environment. We’d like to reach out to people who might not necessarily be part of the queer community, but have questions or would like to be informed. No question is too silly!

Outweek 2013
It's finally here! UBC's 2013 Outweek is around the corner and we have a whole schedule of events for you to come, check out and enjoy! This year, Outweek runs from Monday, February 4th to Saturday, February 9th. There will be a host of intriguing and interactive workshops throughout the week brought to you by amazing members of the community from Vancouver and beyond, with a big bash on Friday and Queer U to finish off the week on Saturday.

This year’s Outweek Theme is Beautiful Beings! A celebration of all bodies, identities and non-identities, races, ethnicities, genders, abilities, and sexualities.

Queer U 2013: Fluidity in Queer Identity
"As part of Outweek (Feb 4-9), PRIDE UBC, with the support of Critical Studies in Sexualities and The Network: Queer Grad Students, is organizing Queer U, an annual graduate level academic conference on sexualities and genders. The conference centers on bringing the research and work of graduate students and established scholars from across the West Coast of North America and beyond to a broad audience in an attempt to foster understanding and discussion."

The events are immediately followed by a Wine & Cheese reception.

Summer Events

Summer Snack
During the summer, we have a weekly coffee meet-up where pridelings can meet others, enjoy great conversation, and have fun! It will be usually held at Calhoun's on West Broadway but locations will change every other week to take advantage of the weather and other summertime events!

Vancouver Pride Parade
Every year Pride UBC takes part in Vancouver's Pride Parade by walking in the parade with a float! Want to join with us this year by planning and participating? Planning meetings are still to be decided, but we will announce it as soon as possible!
