ALL WELCOME to this special workshop on Bisexuality Monday, February 13 from 2pm-3pm in SUB 212A. Free refreshments provided!!
The bisexual is often swept under the rug in both the straight and queer communities. Yet research is showing that the bisexual may actually be the majority, especially among women. So why is it treated like a minority (and even a threat) in both communities? Is no-one truly bisexual or is everyone? Is it different for women, men, trans people? Is it different across cultures?
"Which is worse? For one's experiences to be silenced and made invisible, or for those experiences to be voiced and visible yet dismissed.as inauthentic, unusual, exceptional, and trivial?" (Lisa Diamond, Sexual Fluidity: Understanding Women's Love and Desire)
"I am not a myth." (Marlene Dietrich)
"It doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman—we make love with anyone we find attractive." (Marlene Dietrich)
